Fall Thoughts: The Rucksack

Neef C: Feels good to be in the peak of Autumn again with the sudden change in the color of the leaves, with wind blowing a little more gracefully and and seeing street walkers layering again. As you may have previously seen on our blog, I bring you another segment of menswear accessories; The Bag. The rucksack is  a cherishing item that was a must-have for me again going into the early season. With great thanks to the fellow Jersey Native creators dubs, Herds of the Fathers, this has been my go-to bag since my purchase. I haven’t had such a more quality leather bag in my life. This one emptied my pockets a bit, but I’m quite confident that this will last for years time with the high graded quality. I’m thrilled for this upcoming season for plenty of reasons that you will soon see. The weather here in DE is beautiful for this time of the year so we will be sure to take advantage. Our Fall Thoughts installments will continue for every fall and winter season.

ACL Sport: Concrete Classics

Neef C: On the hottest day of this past summer, Joe and I decided to take advantage of the challenging weather and give it a bit of a workout. A sport that is as natural to us as any other, we hit the concrete jungle of our city to grace the boundaries of the court. The cycle of sports apparel has change drastically within the last few decades, more baseball players wearing pants, lots of Under Armour worn in football, longer shorts in basketball and fitted jerseys as well. Michael Jordan can be the one to blame for the longer short for his college lucky charm preference, but all others came from sports science and technology. Some of the “wonder years” of the NBA were those a decade before we were alive when Magic, Bird, Jordan, Isaiah, and Dominique screeched the hardwood floors. That was the rise stage of the apparel era in professional sports to me with styles being created in sports. With the NBA season in our near view, maybe there are some modern changes that with collaborate old school and new school sports styles.

Against the Grains

Neef C: I’ve been away from the blogosphere for a while and its been killing me ever since, but I’m here again to create and embrace all that the world has to offer. Its been a struggle in some cases, but sometimes that’s needed to help us revamp our minds to be better than yesterday. I’ve been playing around with some creative things and I wanted to see how film photography changes the view of a blog. To me, its something that feels timeless when your viewing them. You appreciate the work that was done for you in the dark room the same way you would appreciate a local manufacturer reconstructing your leather goods. I’m an old soul and my mind has been at ease for most of 2012. The ups and down have come, but this will be a summer to remember. These visuals are just a small element of art to me even with the blemishes of my fingers in the way of the camera. This is just one more step into the realm of creativity and we will take each one with an open mind. It feels like we’re entering a new saga on our journey.

Sorry For The Wait

Craig J:  Salutations people! Its been a long while since ACL has been apart of the blogosphere world, but nevertheless we are back. For our reader/viewers who still keep intact with us, I speak on behalf of my brothers, we appreciate you. Since our last post way back in December, Autumn lookbook, ACL has been going through a bit of a reconstruction period”;  reevaluating our future plans and goals, searching for graphic designer (help us please!!) and dealing with the burden of school on our backs, it been quite hectic i must say. But like I said we are back!  With this outfit I manifested, detailing was a key competent. I combined various fabrics such as denim, tweed, cotton and velvet. Shootout to my bro Hanif Castle for the pictures & Check out some of my work BeyondTheFrame Photography. =)

Autumn Lookbook 2011

Neef C: The anticipation has been suffocating me like the only non-smoker in a “pot box” but the wait was well worth it. I find that style has become apart of my life for a while now that I’m looking back at what I’ve done and the smoove people I’ve encountered. Our lookbook may seem like it is effortless, but it took some creative work to help manipulate the simplest idea and create it to be complex. Fall Thoughts series was our way of leading our readers to the highly anticipated lookbook. For us, the ability to do what you love and express it to the world is the drive and motivation that we use to continue and innovate (I will be throwing that word around a lot). Being a Tarheels fan has helped me illuminate with the vibrant color of Carolina blue with dim fall colours. As the best season of the year, we take advantage of the great weather and terrific change of the season. Autumn Lookbook with style, motivation and happiness.

Fall Thoughts: The Bag

Brent S: When the bag is thought of it is mostly given the stable as being dominated for one sex. That sex being females of course, the major accessory for the female population the bag rules their world. From Michael Khors to Salvatore Ferragamo the bag clutch even in some styles the wallet is monopolized by the female fashion industry. But today the masculine men who want the style and of a carry all bag, as well as the aesthetically pleasing appeal of different colors, fabrics, patterns. Today there is not a man I know that will not tote around a backpack, briefcase, or tote bag that doesn’t have some influence on his style.
